Meal Prep Hack


This is just a short little post mainly about these containers! They’re really awesome and there are so many similar ones on the market that it’s hard to know which ones are good quality. (Also I feel like I have to mention that they’re on Amazon Prime and you get a set of 15 for $12.99!)

These stack really neatly not only when empty but also in the fridge after you’ve loaded them up with food. Since they’re easy to stack, reusable, microwaveable and dishwasher safe I haven’t lost any yet! They are the only tubberware that I don’t have to dig around for the matching lid.

Besides the fact that these make me feel really organized, they also help with portion control. I work 12 hour shifts so I need to be able to take a full meals with me…and a ton of snacks obviously! These help me to keep the amount of food I pack for dinner in check and then rely on healthy snacks to fill in the gaps.



For this particular week I made Chicken Parmesan from SkinnyTaste and some veggie pasta with squash and zucchini. I skipped the marinara and just added some garlic powder to the bread crumbs before coating the chicken to add some more flavor.



Just look at that crust! Yum!


And that’s it for now! I’ll eventually write about SkinnyTaste since it’s become my go to cook book, her website (which I’ve linked above) is awesome too and definitely worth trying.
